3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base seamlessly onto the foundation. To achieve optimal leveling, strategically place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base. These shims are essential for adjusting the unit to the desired level.
Alternate the positioning of two wedge-shaped irons to ensure stability. Once the unit has reached impeccable leveling, proceed by spot welding the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges are
to be crafted and installed by the end-user, tailored to the specific installation environment. Ensure the contact surface is refined for maximum evenness and the inclined surface fully adheres, making sure
the load-bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain flawless leveling. The leveling standards for the unit are stringent: with an axial level requirement of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm. Achieving these standards is critical for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment. Prioritize these prerequisites before commencing alignment:
1) Safeguard by switching off the main power supply;
2) Dismantle the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it's devoid of debris, impurities, and unwanted substances;
5) Ensure that the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts, facilitating easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Have an adequate number of stainless steel gaskets ready for use under the motor. These gaskets must be free of contaminants and perfectly flat. Avoid employing long and thin gaskets for adjustments between motor and base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the accompanying illustration;
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket to secure the dial indicator on the hub’s edge, positioning the probe on the outer edge of the compressor hub;
10) Fine-tune the adjusting bolts around the motor feet so that the compressor and motor center lines align closely. The permissible maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm (the motor shaft should be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center), and the coupling end face should be between 0.03 and 0.05mm;
11) Conclude by tightening the motor foot bolts, then review the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for assurance;
12) Fit the coupling intermediate section after conducting a motor idle test.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the casing for optimal 'levelness' and alignment, secure the anchor bolts. After a period of mechanical operation (or trial run), release the bolts and reinforce them once more to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 Safeguarding the impeller from damage is crucial, as it rotates at high speeds. Any solid or liquid contaminants entering the impeller can lead to irreversible harm. Ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are pristine and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Should any pipeline fail to meet these standards, immediate rectification is necessitated. It is stronglyadvised to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe leading to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. According to the PI diagram, ensure the import and export pipelines are equipped with the appropriate accessories. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be independently supported by an additional bracket, ensuring its weight is not borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential ancillary equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete has reached its full solidified form, you're all set to embark on the exhilarating compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal moment in ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be precisely installed within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The conduit for wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be expertly threaded through pipes that delve underground, ensuring a clean and unobtrusive setup. Once the electric control cabinet has found its designated place, it's crucial to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines of the remote DCS, guaranteeing a flawless and efficient operation.
