The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising a comprehensive array of components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. With its streamlined and compact design, this compressor ensures ease of maintenance while delivering unparalleled performance, making it an indispensable asset in any industrial setting.
3.3.1 The compressor base is strategically positioned on the foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which are essential for achieving a perfectly leveled unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is precisely leveled, perform spot welding on the wedge-shaped irons at 4-5 strategic points for utmost stability. These wedges must be
crafted and installed by the user, ensuring they fit the real-world conditions seamlessly. The contact surface must be finished for uniform contact,
and the wedge iron's load-bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain perfect levelness. The leveling criteria are stringent: the axial level must achieve 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level must achieve 0.10/1000mm, guaranteeing optimal performance.
3.3.3 Proper centering of the coupling is crucial. Prior to alignment, ensure the following criteria are met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply for safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation surface's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and any attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes, allowing adjustment freedom for optimal alignment;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. These should be clean, flat, and free from attachments. Avoid using overly long or thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (provided by the customer);
8) Prepare the support bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket facilitates mounting a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning its probe along the compressor wheel hub's outer boundary;
10) Adjust the motor's foot adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately. The maximum allowable deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center being higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation at 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclusively tighten the motor foot bolts, revisiting the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for precision.;
12) Finalize by installing the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test, ensuring complete integration.
3.3.4 Post 'levelness' and alignment adjustments, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Following the mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts for reinforced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation necessitates vigilance against any solid or liquid intrusion, which could irreversibly harm the compressor. It is imperative to maintain pristine inlet and outlet pipelines, meeting the system's steam corrosion criteria. Any pipeline failing to adhere to these standards requires correction. It isadvisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, preceding the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor inlet and outlet pipelines. Ensure the inclusion of relevant pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be independently supported, with its weight not burdening the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has entirely solidified, it's time to conduct a comprehensive compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures everything is functioning at peak performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. For optimal installation, connect the wiring between the compressor and the electric control cabinet using threading pipe, carefully laid underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely positioned, establish seamless connectivity by linking the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a smooth operational flow.
