This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This temperature increase allows the secondary steam to return to the evaporator, where it heats the materials and promotes evaporation, effectively recycling the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a masterfully engineered device, comprising the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is notably compact, ensuring easy maintenance and seamless integration into various systems.
3.3.1 The compressor base is to be elegantly positioned on the foundation, with the addition of precision wedge-shaped shims beneath, crafted specifically for the meticulous alignment of the unit.
Strategically place the wedge-shaped irons in an alternating sequence. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, perform spot welding on the wedges at 4 to 5 key points. Ensure these wedges are
custom-manufactured and seamlessly installed by the user based on specific requirements, with a contact surface expertly finished for even distribution,
where the wedge iron's bearing capacity does not exceed the robust threshold of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Precision leveling is paramount. The unit's axial level should be calibrated to an impressive 0.05/1000mm, while maintaining the horizontal
level at a superior 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve flawless coupling alignment by adhering to the following preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Disassemble the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it is free from any debris or attachments;
5) Guarantee the motor bolt holes are generously sized compared to the bolts to permit easy loosening for precise motor adjustments;
6) Stock ample stainless steel gaskets to sufficiently cover the motor's base. These gaskets should be impeccable, flat, and free of any contaminants. Refrain from using long, thin gaskets that compromise the integrity of adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter of superb 0.01mm accuracy, which the customer should provide;
8) Have a sturdy bracket ready for supporting the dial indicator, as beautifully illustrated below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub bracket for accurately mounting a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) By meticulously adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines to achieve perfect synchronization (refer to relevant guides if needed), ensuring the maximum outer circle deviation is a mere 0.05mm. The motor's shaft center should gracefully surpass the compressor's low-speed shaft center, with coupling end faces aligned within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, followed by a careful review to ensure both outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling are optimal;
12) Proceed with installing the coupling's intermediate section post successful motor idling tests.
3.3.4 Post alignment and leveling adjustments of the casing, ensure the anchor bolts are diligently tightened. Following any mechanical or trial operations, revisit the bolts for additional tightening to guarantee stability.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation demands rigorous care to prevent any solid or liquid ingress, as such incidents can cause irreversible compressor damage. Thus, maintaining clean inlet and outlet pipelines that adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements is crucial. Non-compliant pipelines must be immediately rectified. It isstrongly advised to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.6 Securely install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. The pipelines must be equipped with pertinent accessories, precisely as depicted in the PI diagram. Additionally, ensure the pipeline's weight is supported by an independent bracket, not the compressor body, to maintain the system's integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential ancillary equipment have been expertly installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, it is time to embark on the compressor operation test. This critical phase ensures the seamless functionality and reliability of your state-of-the-art equipment.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure that the wiring, which extends from the compressor to the electric control cabinet, is meticulously connected using threading pipe that is securely placed underground. With the electric control cabinet correctly positioned, proceed to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, establishing a reliable communication link.
