The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, comprising a meticulously designed compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This streamlined apparatus boasts a compact structure, making it not only space-efficient but also remarkably easy to maintain. 3.3.1 Begin the installation by securely positioning the compressor base on the designated foundation. To achieve perfect leveling, place precisely cut wedge-shaped shims underneath the base.
Alternate the placement of these wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is level, expertly spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points.
Each wedge, crafted and installed according to your specific needs, should feature a meticulously finished contact surface. Ensure even contact on the inclined plane.
The wedge iron must not exceed a bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve absolute precision by using a leveling tool. Unit leveling requirements demand an axial level accuracy of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Attain perfect coupling alignment by ensuring the following steps:
1) Ensure safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Disassemble the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is obstruction-free and clean;
5) Motor bolt holes should accommodate larger bolts for easy adjustment;
6) Have ready a set of pristine stainless steel gaskets. These should be perfectly flat and free from attachments. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a precision dial indicator or a high-accuracy laser alignment meter of 0.01mm (customer-provided);
8) Prepare a robust bracket for dial indicator support as illustrated below;
9) Fit the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to hold a dial indicator at the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By finely tuning adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line. Maintain a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line sits slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, while coupling end face deviation remains within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck for any coupling outer circle and end face runout;
12) After a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.3.3.4 Post-adjustment, affirm the alignment and levelness of the casing by firmly tightening anchor bolts. Post-operation, loosen and re-tighten the bolts for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation is sensitive to foreign substances. Ensure the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet specified steam corrosion grades. For non-compliant pipelines, rectify immediately.
Consider the installation of solid-liquid separation equipment like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Utilize appropriate pipeline accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. Crucially, ensure the pipeline weight is borne by an independent bracket, keeping the compressor body free from undue weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with its essential ancillary equipment, is expertly installed and the concrete foundation has thoroughly solidified, you can proceed with conducting the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that your equipment is primed for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The installation of the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be executed within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For seamless connectivity, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet must be meticulously organized using threading pipes, securely routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly in position, it's imperative to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless integration.
