The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously designed to include key components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its compact structure is thoughtfully engineered for ease of maintenance, ensuring long-lasting reliability and performance.
3.3.1 Begin with placing the compressor base securely on its foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to fine-tune the level of the unit.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, execute spot welds on the wedge irons across 4 to 5 points.
These wedges should be crafted and installed by the user tailored to the actual conditions, ensuring an excellent contact surface (achieving complete contact across the inclined plane).
The wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed a formidable 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to determine the unit's alignment. The unit's axial level should maintain a rigorous standard of 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should achieve 0.10/1000mm.
The horizontal precision of the unit is expected to adhere to an exacting 0.10/1000mm tolerance.
3.3.3 When centering the coupling, ensure all preliminary requirements are fulfilled before alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power supply entirely;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane, confirming it’s free from any foreign objects, grime, or attachments;
5) Guarantee the motor bolt hole surpasses the bolt size, facilitating bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Ensure the availability of ample stainless steel gaskets to adequately support the motor's feet. Gaskets must be devoid of any attachments and must provide a flat surface. Avoid using prolonged, slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and its base.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Ready the necessary bracket for dial indicator support, as depicted in the accompanying diagram;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket serves to affix a dial indicator to the rim of the wheel hub, positioning the indicator probe along the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor centerline precisely (or as per specific instructions). The maximum outer circle deviation allowed is 0.05mm (with the motor shaft centerline positioned higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline), and coupling end face deviation should be between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, then reassess the coupling’s outer circle runout and end face runout for accuracy;
12) Post-motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Upon achieving optimal levelness and alignment of the casing, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure steadfast stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-velocity component, demands a debris-free environment, as any particulate or liquid ingress could inflict irreversible harm to the compressor. Hence, ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are immaculate and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Inadequate pipelines necessitate prompt rectification.Consider implementing solid-liquid separation devices, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, positioned before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to enhance system protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with installing the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that the import and export pipelines are equipped with necessary pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipeline should be independently supported by a separate bracket, free from reliance on the compressor's structure for support.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its associated equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete achieves full solidification, you can proceed with the critical compressor operation test. This test is essential to ensure the seamless functioning and reliability of the system.
3.3.8 The strategic placement of the compressor's electric control cabinet within a 5-meter proximity to the compressor is crucial. For optimal safety and efficiency, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be securely threaded through underground pipes. Once the cabinet is properly situated, it's time to harmonize the system by connecting the wiring terminals in the electric control cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a comprehensive integration for superior control and performance.
